The changing scene at summer's end
Reminds us autumn's time has neared.
The trees display an early blend
Of dazzling colors, proudly tiered.
The countryside arrays a spread
Of leaves in gold and shades of brown,
Unveiling scenes of crimson red
That drape the length of autumn's gown.
But when it's time to say goodbye,
And winter makes the branches bend,
The trees allow their leaves to fly—
Their final tears at autumn's end.
