“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.” ― William Wordsworth

Love & Romance

Her Vow

She walks beside the River Rhine
As stars appear tonight.
Her teary eyes inspect the sky
To search for one in flight.

She wants the star to carry on
The name she calls at night.
It will forever be his home,
Where suns are born in light.

Cologne and Basel join the stars
To listen with delight,
For from her lips now flows a song
That only angels write.

The song resounds with words of love
That frolic in the air.
She sings of passion late at night
And of his tender care.

Her words of love move heavenward
As tears of pain cascade.
She speaks of him with graciousness
And vows his name won't fade.
