I am the sky on autumn days,
The oceans seen from outer space.
I am the plume a peacock spreads;
The wings of jays in flights of grace.
I am the hue in many eyes,
A mountain swallowtail in flight.
I am the heat within a flame,
A morning glory bathed in light.
I am the tinge in Neptune's sky,
A gentian flower's summer glow.
I am the turquoise mined from rocks,
The fragile shell where robins grow.
I am a gift God gave to man—
Delphiniums drenched in morning dew,
The whales that swim the ample seas.
I am the regal color, blue.
