“We do not remember days, we remember moments.” ― Cesare Pavese

Potpourri

Full Moon

She is the ruling queen of silent nights,
The naked maiden flirting with the sun.
The stars are witnesses providing lights,
While Earth enjoys the scene that has begun.
The ocean wakes and lifts its arms in praise
And gently bathes the lands with sodden hands.
It then retreats to reach its second phase,
Exposing hidden shores and myriad sands.
The maiden, pale, yet stunningly divine,
Displays in full her alabaster skin.
And I, in awe, begin to write a line
Describing what I see and feel within.
So as she wakes and bares her beaming face,
My heart, like tides, responds to heaven's grace.

Behind the Verse

The moon in its full stage is a beautiful scene to behold, particularly when viewed from a rural location. It is among the wonderful gifts Jehovah has given mankind.
