One Day

There is a haze of gloom around the world
Preventing eyes from seeing what is true.
The lie unleashed in Eden has unfurled—
A lie no sinful man can e'er undo.
That lie has led the heart to sin's allure,
Beguiling all who seek their selfish wants.
Deluded men have strayed to what's impure;
They fail to see the lie the devil flaunts.
But there is one whom God has placed as King;
With lasting peace, he'll reign in paradise.
And death no longer will employ its sting,
For Christ has fully paid the ransom price.
 One day, we'll raise our eyes in tears and see
 A paradise as promised—you and me.
