“Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones!” ― Zephaniah 2:3

Enduring Faith

My Humble Plea

To you, I turn, O Sovereign One,
To plead that I complete my run.
Beneath your wings I wish to flee;
Jehovah, hear my humble plea.

Renew my strength, I beg of you,
And help me be the man you view.
I will abide by your decree;
Jehovah, hear my humble plea.

Sustain my faith and courage, too,
While I await what will be new—
A paradise where death won't be.
Jehovah, hear my humble plea.

O God, please help me see your ways
And guide my steps on darkened days,
Or when I fall and bruise my knee.
Jehovah, hear my humble plea.

I do recall the vow I made,
And it will not remain unpaid.
I will not join the roaring sea;
Jehovah, hear my humble plea.

Each night, I bare my heart in prayer,
Acknowledging the sins I bear.
I do believe you care for me
And that you'll hear my humble plea.

Behind the Verse

At times, the stress and anxiety we face can feel so overwhelming that we might consider giving up. However, it’s important to remember that we are not alone. The challenges we encounter may test our faith, much like they did for Job, who struggled to understand the reason behind his intense suffering. Nevertheless, the knowledge that Jehovah is watching over us and will act at the appropriate time gives us the strength to endure these trials.
