“Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones!” ― Zephaniah 2:3

Enduring Faith

God's Arms

It was a day that tore her heart;
 Her grief was hard to bear.
She lost her longtime mate in death;
 She copes by means of prayer.

Her drowning eyes well up with tears;
 She bows her head to pray.
She pleads to God to give her strength
 And guide her on the way.

She prays to God on bended knees;
 A calmness soothes her mind.
As painful thoughts begin to fade,
 She leaves her tears behind.

Jehovah heard her rising pleas
 And cleared away what harms.
She shuts her eyes and falls asleep
 While cradled in his arms.
